I remember now that my mother also made these! Yummy!!
Also realized why your methods are so similar to my mothers family. You are from Brno and we are from just east (Ludaslavice between Hulin and Holesov).
What brand is the hand grinder you are using?? I have seen you use it in several videos. I think it is the suction cup type that attaches to the counter top. It looks very nice.
LOL I used to be the kitchen grinder and mixer for my mother (no power appliances for us!) so I remember using a flimsy hand held grinder that eventually fell apart. I have been looking for a grinder that is sturdy etc and not electric to make cleaning easy. (nuts etc can be oily).
Leifheit. Amazon has a bunch of their stuff but not the grinder. I found it on Ebay from a seller in the UK. Shipping to Canada is not expensive so I have ordered one.
Thank you!!
Yes I remember those times as well
My parents still have the same grinder from my childhood – the metal one. I like this one a lot because it is very easy to clean and grinds it very fine. You will like it. I am glad you were able to find it.
The Leifheit grinder arrived today. Looks wonderful. My daughter had to grind the walnuts for the strudel and vanilla crescents with a mortar and pestel so she is happy to try it out on this recipe next!
Oh she will love to use this tool.
Hello!
I followed up everything you suggested and it came out beautifully!
But I’ve got about 3/4 of the frosting still left…
Any suggestion how to use it, please?
Thank you for all your posting, wishing you a wonderful holidays,
Martina
I am happy to hear! Hm I am not sure what to use them for. Maybe gingerbreads?
